"Towers of Chicago"

Anton Schutz (1894-1977) was a German born artist/printmaker who worked during 1920-30s in New York. Schutz specialized in capturing the great industrial cities of the US during the Golden Age of American illustration and this lovely view of Chicago is one of his best. A highly respected and collected artist, Schutz founded the New York Graphic Society. Titled and signed in pencil, signed and dated in plate.
