Salvatore Pinto. The Necklace. Salvatore Pinto (1905-1966)

Salvatore Pinto was an American artist born in Salerno, Italy to a family who immigrated to America when he was 4 years old. He attended the Pennsylvania Museum and School of the Industrial Arts (now the University of the Arts) and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. The great collector, Albert Barnes collected his work and introduced him to avant-garde painters including Henri Matisse.

Etching on paper.
Approximately 12 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches, plate.
Framed to 16 ¼ x 13 inches, overall.
Excellent condition.
