This wonderful original chromolithographed plate was included as an illustration to C. M. Moseman’s, Illustrated Guide for Purchasers of Horse Furnishing Goods. Moseman advertised and sold to the public al manner of saddles, harnesses, bits, bridles, girths and barn tools. His catalogue advertised racing silks, jackets, caps and ribbons, crops, coaching items, hitching posts and hoof polish – literally anything the proper 19th century horseman or woman would have a need for. Moseman’s horse furnishing goods establishment was located in New York City and he also advertised shops in London Paris Berlin and Moscow.
