“CALIFORNIA SCENERY. Seal Rocks – Point Lobos”

A beautiful and dramatic night scene of the California coast fully illuminated by moonlight. It shows the rolling hills, step headlands, rocky coastline and craggy islands of the area around Carmel, Monterey County, in central California. This section of the coast is populated by seals, sea lions, sea otters, migrating gray whales and thousands of seabirds. At the time of this depiction, whaling ships would have been plying the waters.

10 x 14 inches, sheet.
Very nice restored condition with full margins and good original color.
