Charming piece of French folk art, oil on board with hand-made frame, signed “J Moussy.”

This tidy little painting depictis a sailor (“le vieux marin”) with beret on his head and pipe in his hand gesturing whilst speaking to four attentive children. The children are painted with fishing gear on the beach with ship activity in the background. This wonderfully naive scene tells a charming story and is a delight to look at.  You won’t get tired of looking at this original painting.
