Smallest issue (octavo size) of George Brookshaw’s work on English heirloom fruit engravings.  George Brookshaw (1751-1823) published a large spectacularly illustrated book titled, Pomona Britannica or A Collection of the Most Esteemed Fruits...  in London between 1808-12 describing the bounty and breadth of English fruit cultivation. This is the octavo edition of that work printed in London in May 1822. Charming color printed and hand finished aquatint engravings with their descriptive accompanying text.
