Noah’s Ark.”

The text below the image reminds us of the Old Testament story:

Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth there went in two and two unto Noah into the Ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah. Gen. Chap. 8 & 9 v.”

The ark is depicted as a large barn set on top of a wooden hull. Pairs of monkeys, kangaroos, hyenas, moose, wolves, bison, tigers, giraffes, musk ox, elephants, lions, zebras, camels, antelopes, pigs, owls, birds of prey, peacocks, ducks, geese, herons, chickens, etc. peacefully wait in line to walk up a ramp and enter the interior. Pairs of birds fill the skies and wait their turn on the roof of the building.
