"As-Tu Ete Sage? Robe du soir et robe d'enfant de Jeanne Lanvin"

This fabulous highly stylized, carefully colored antique print was contained in a series entitled ‘Gazette du Bon Ton’; a periodical devoted to the depiction of Parisian high fashion designs of the first quarter of the nineteenth century.  The clothing, background elements, the postures, and the attitudes of the subjects all reflect a taste for the sophisticated style and taste of the art deco jazz age. The names of the designers of each of the fabulous clothing are recorded below the capitalized French titles. In this case, an elegantly dressed woman and her little girl are clothed in fashions by the famous designer Jeanne Lanvin.

9 ½ x 7 3/8 inches, sheet.
Colored lithograph with some pouchoir additions.
Very good condition with light over all patina.
