“Duvato di Parma et Piacenza”
A highly detailed map of the region of Emilia-Romagna in Italy including the cities of Piacenza, Parma, and Cremona along with dozens and dozens of small named villages. Beautifully engraved with many topographical details. The map features a charming cartouche of a farmers and his cows and sheep.
This map was included in a Spanish edition of Theatrum Orbis Terrarum sive Atlas Novus, printed in Amsterdam in 1640.
Full original hand colored copperplate engraving.
19 ¾ x 23 ½ inches, sheet. Full untrimmed margins. Spanish text on verso.
Very nice condition, patina to paper, centerfold flattened.
