"This is a wonderfully detailed large depiction of Omaha from Harper's Weekly as it appeared in 1889. It is based upon photographs by F.W. Marsh. The central image is a "view of the city from the towr of the court-house." It is surrounded by individual vies of "the Post-Office", "Chamber of Commerce", "Douglas County Court-House", "Young Men's Christian Association Building", "Brownell Hall", Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church", "Trinity Cathedral", and the "High School." There is a full page of textual descripton by William Willard Howard of "The City of Omaha, Nebraska" on the verso.
