This fine volume is Jean Francois Alabanis Beaumont’s Select Views of the Antiquities and Harbours in the South of France. The work was published in London by S. Hamilton in 1794.
The volume is bound in leather with recent half red morrocco over the original marbled boards with 12 originally hand-colored aquatint engravings. It is the first and only edition published and is complete as issued. The illustrations are beautiful views of the South of France including Antibes, Toulon and Marseilles.
A reference to the South of France before Coco Chanel and the Belle Monde transformed it into a sun splashed playground. 

Condition The work is in very good to excellent condition overall.
There is occasional minor speckling in the sky of the engravings.
There may be a few minor imperfections or faint marks to be expected with age.
