Neptune's Grotto is one of the natural wonders of the world.   In this beautiful mid 19th century depiction beautifully dressed  human figuresed are dwarfed by an enormous natural bridge and powerful waterfall cascading down the limestone cliffs below the picturesque hillside town dotted with classical ruins.

Tivoli, just outside of Rome, is an awe-inspiring hilltop town poised 120m above the Aniene River where poets Horace, Catullus, and Propertius all once had homes along the rocky cliffs. Today, It is a beautifully preserved medieval city, with narrow, winding streets and panoramic views of surrounding valleys and magnificent grottos and cascades.
