“II Cah. 6 Pl.”
Decorative plate included in a pattern book titled, Collection of Gardening composed of Sieur Panseron, architect, professor of architecture, former professor of drawing at the Royal Military School and front inspector of the buildings of S.A.S. The volume contained illustrated plates, hand colored of fashionable garden plans from all over Europe, consisting of both existing gardens and generic plans from a range of designers, and an array of features such as temples, kiosks, Chinese buildings, mosques, lakes, etc from which wealthy clients could select ideas.
With terrific detail and carefully hand colored, these plates are quite interesting and decorative. They are a good size for framing and would make a statement.
